The Human Factor Onboard

The Maritime Labour Convention, 2006

"Seafarers have human rights too" was the headline of a commentary on the International Labour Organization (ILO) convention when it was passed.  The Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC) sets an objective benchmark for decent working and living conditions for seafarers.

When does the MLC, 2006 enter into force? How does it affect shipowners, shipmanagers and yards? Which ship does it apply to? ILO CERT service gives all the answers.

ILO CERT
GL offers a comprehensive all-round package through its ILO CERT service. First GL will arrange an initial meeting to illuminate what the process involves and determine how well a company is prepared for MLC, 2006 (for more detailed product info see GL - FAQs).

MLC Training
GL Academy offers training seminars and workshops for the MLC, 2006 at public or in-house seminars. For further information please see the programme of GL Academy.
