Shipping Basics for Banks

Shipping Basics for Banks

The module provides a structured overview of the shipping market and looks at the ship as a technical system. The first part of the seminar consists of an overview of a ship's technical system and how that relates to assessing its value. This background information will be vital for the following seminar day where the focus is on the actual analysis of a ship's value.

By means of a continuous case study the participants analyse the shipping market and develop a questionnaire for evaluating
investments in ships. The exercises are designed in such a way that the participants are able to analyse the shipping market on
their own and practise with further exercises.
