This module introduces the legal framework that applies to foreign vessels calling at US ports.

The module covers: Port State Control, crewing regulations, environmental and pollution matters, maritime security, navigation and safety regulations. Case studies derived from ship operation are used to present the benefits of working with GL tools. These topics are presented and discussed using case studies of detentions and noncompliance instances.
