Based on the specifics of a modern shipyard, this module starts with a look at the suitable management and organisation structure. Planning, control and logistic concepts are explained by means of workflow for the main processes acquisition, production planning and manufacturing.

Mechanised or automated production technology covers all areas of hull construction, beginning with steel storage, via cutting parts, pre-assembly and block assembly to final dock assembly. Highly productive production methods and production lines are introduced and explained. Case studies are used to enhance the presented material.
