The module is directed at newly employed or laterally hired personnel in the maritime industry without prior technical knowledge. The functioning of combustion engines and other important components on board will be explained and presented in the context of ship operations.

In addition, an overview of loading operations, safety equipment as well as navigation and deck equipment will be provided. Practical case studies are used throughout.


Course objective

Participants will gain knowledge about basic technical processes on board and an impression of the overall ship system.
