The module provides a comprehensive overview in terms of using simulation software as technical support for emergencies.

As an introduction the different damage types and their consequences with regard to ship and the environment as well as the current situation of the regulations will be presented. Furthermore, the course provides a deep insight into the necessary calculations in case of emergencies. In order to assess the situation of the vessel, required software and input data will be discussed. The course will be completed by practical exercises through which the participants will gain good knowledge of handling emergency situations.
