This course provides an overview of maritime accident and incident investigation. Incident investigations can improve the overall safety level and awareness in shipping companies.
This is why there are also a number of obligations to investigate maritime accidents and incidents in the domestic legal instruments of flag states and certainly in the ISM Code. The participants will be introduced to the basic requirements and procedures of maritime accident and incident investigation, which will allow them to effectively support such investigations in shipping companies.
