The workshop provides updated information and knowledge about the latest amendments to the STCW Convention.
The workshop provides updated information and knowledge about the latest amendments to the STCW Convention, related to security familiarization and training of shipboard personnel to maintain the security of the ship and highlights the obligations of companies for the implementation of SOLAS V/19-1 Long Range Identification and Tracking requirements, taking into account various guidelines and recommendations. Developments and tendencies based on GL statistics of ISPS audit and port state
control results are discussed. Methods for the implementation of effective security measures with focus on piracy and stowaways are exemplified on the basis of lessons learnt and by means of a case study.
