Application + confirmation
All applications go straight to the GL Academy where they are processes without delay. Seminar participants are sent an enrolment confirmation, giving all relevant details of the venue, the times and fees, as well as description of how to get there.
Cancellation of the seminar by the organisers
GL reserves the right to cancel any seminars that are undersubscribed. Individuals who have enrolled for the course will be notified straight away and offered alternative courses, where applicable.
Cooperation partners
We might know a lot, but we certainly don't know everything. To enable us to offer a wide range of topics, we have engaged the support of some professionals to our team to cover their own particular area of expertise.

Duration
Each seminar requires the personal attendance of the participants, and last between half a day and up to six and a half days. The seminars can be booked individually, thus giving you maximum flexibility for the organisation of your own advanced training programme, in terms of both time and content.

We want to know what you think. It is only by listening to your views that we can respect specific requests and adapt our seminars to meet popular demand, so we look forward to receiving feedback. Everyone who takes the trouble to complete our seminar assessment forms at the end of a course can be sure that they will be evaluated and borne in mind for follow-up programmes. But please feel free to submit suggestions, remarks, criticism or queries that are not related to any particular course or workshop: when all is said and done, it is dialogue that leads to better results - on both sides.

In-house tutorials - solutions tailored to our customer's needs
All our seminars can be booked individually, but they are naturally available as in-house tutorials, as well. In other words, we can hold the required seminar on your company premises or at an alternative local venue, on request. The contents of our course can also be aligned to your own requirements and ideas, which means we are able to provide tailor-made solutions.
Organisation of the event
The motto of the GL Academy is "where experts learn more". Our aim is to convey a high level of knowledge ad know-how in a pleasant ambience - to make learning fun and allow tutors to work side-by-side with those participating in the seminars. It is for this reason that we welcome active discussions and opportunities for interaction and mutual dialogue. One of our plus-points is the provision of actual case studies: a practical, hands-on approach makes many a difficult theory or legal text easier to understand.
Prices
Our seminar fees do not include VAT. The price includes comprehensive seminar documentation as well as refreshments during the seminar.
Seminar materials
Basic knowledge, background information, secondary literature, legal texts - our seminar materials are selected to provide comprehensive information on the subject of your choice. After all, the objective of the course is to equip you with the proficiency required to implement your newly acquired knowledge in handling everyday business matters. Besides extensive documentation containing additional informative material, you are also given a print-out of the presentation, as well as some case studies complete with the proposed solutions, tools and checklists drawn up by Germanischer Lloyd for that specific purpose.
Tutors
People taking part in a course are entitled to expect a competent instructor. Our training personnel are experts in their particular field. Because only those who know what they are talking about, both in theory and in practice, are in a position to convey in-depth know-how, explain complex subject matter in a readily understandable manner, illustrate possible solutions and answer questions.
Venues
Anyone who wants to see results needs to learn in a friendly atmosphere. Our seminar locations provide a welcoming environment that encourages learning. Well-equipped conference rooms coupled with an all-round service provide an appealing framework for our seminars.
Zeal - the key to success
At the end of the seminar, participants' zeal is rewarded with a certificate or a certificate of attendance in the course, depending on the subject.
