Following the motto “Innovative ideas for wind energy”, GL Renewables Certification awarded the prize to three trend-setting theses, in recognition of their new technical approaches to research and development within the wind industry.

Mike Wöbbeking, Vice President, Head of Certification Body GL Renewables Certification, made the presentation of the prizes to Julika Wichmann (first place), Vera Schorbach (second place) und Mareike Strach (third place), and highlighted the feasibility, economic benefit and quality of all three papers.

The award is directed at students and young professionals from all areas of engineering study. The winners of this new award have been given prizes of 5,000€, 2,500€ and 1,000€.
