The Guideline for the Certification of Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) for Wind Turbines has been updated. The findings from a large number of certifications of condition monitoring systems and monitoring bodies and the progress in technology were considered in the CMS-Guideline, Edition 2007.
The Guideline for the Certification of Ocean Energy Converters, Part 1: Ocean Current Turbines is being developed. A draft is available. The certification procedure is based on the guideline for offshore wind turbines and accounts for the experience of GL Renewables Certification from offshore structures certification. The draft guideline can be downloaded (see order list below).
Guidelines and technical notes of GL Renewables Certification are discussed in the Wind Energy Committee before publication. Upon approval they are released by the chairman of the committee. The Wind Energy Committee represents the relevant groups in the field of wind energy. Members are from public authorities, wind turbine and component manufacturers, engineering consultants, institutes, universities, technical associations and insurance companies.
