GL file inspection

GL file inspection is an online tool which enables you to view the class and statutory files of a certain vessel online. This might prove extremely helpful if you intend to buy or insure a ship.

Please note: All data provided in the GL file inspection tool is in accordance with the current owner. This authorisation may have already been provided by the customer or GL will attempt to obtain it.

GL file inspection product types

Product	Description
Light (€ 200)	This version contains a limited amount of information. Included are the Survey Schedule indicating last date surveyed and due date of survey items, the Survey schedule for continuous survey items (if applicable), any currently pending Conditions of Class or Memoranda (if any) and the Survey Statements. De Luxe (€ 400)	The De Luxe product shows the Survey Schedule including last date surveyed and due date of survey items, Survey Schedule for continuous survey items (if applicable), currently pending Conditions of Class or Memoranda (if any), Survey Statements, “Approvals” Folder including various reports and certificates issued since approx. 2003, Issued Certificates and also most of the email and fax communications since approx. 2003 that have taken place between Head Office, the surveyor and the flag state, Thickness Measurement reports that have been undertaken since approx. 2003. DVD or CD (€ 500)	This product includes an online account, which provides you with the same level of information as the De Luxe account does. The added advantage with this product is that you also receive a CD-ROM (or DVD) containing all the ships data, which includes files older than approx. 2003. It also allows the Customer to visit Germanischer Lloyd Head Office and view the files personally should the need arise. Click here for summary

Please note: The GL File Inspection products do not contain ANY construction or design drawings as these are under copyright protection of the ship yard. We advise that such documents are obtained directly from the respective ship yard as the legal owners of the desired information. Furthermore GL File Inspection products do not contain any correspondence with the ship yard or product certification information as these remain confidential between GL and the respective ship yards or manufacturers.
