SysTrust Certification

Germanischer Lloyd achieves SysTrust® Certification from KPMG.

Germanischer Lloyd (GL) is committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of our customers' information as if it were our own. This is now documented by SysTrust certification - an audit by an outside, independent auditor to ensure we have appropriate internal controls in place for security and confidentiality of our environment.

KPMG has evaluated GL's operational practices with the systems and controls for digital plan approval and has issued an unqualified opinion regarding GL's conformity with the appropriate Trust Services Principles.
  • The systems are protected against unauthorized physical and logical access
  • Information is protected as committed or agreed

What is SysTrust?

The SysTrust examination is a rigorous process developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) to provide independent assurance that an organization's systems are reliable. KPMG evaluated GL's operational practices and controls and awarded GL with a certification regarding GL's conformity with the following SysTrust principles:

  • Security: The system was protected against unauthorized physical and logical access
  • Confidentiality: Information designated as confidential was protected as committed or agreed

The examination provides additional validation to GL clients that the GL Systems for plan approval are secure.
