CE Marking
CE Marking for Wind Turbines is driven by the dynamic wind energy market in Europe, the issue of CE marking has moved into focus. Market supervisory authorities no longer turn a blind eye to the safety aspects of wind turbines.
To guarantee the free movement of goods across the single European market, more than 20 product directives have been issued since 1987 based on Article 95 of the EC Treaty. Limited to "essential requirements" which are general in nature and primarily focus on health protection, these directives are compulsory for any product put into circulation and so apply to wind turbines and their sub-assemblies as well.
GL Renewables Certification offers end-to-end support to wind turbine and plant producers, from analysis of relevant standards and conformity assessment through to delivered conformity statement, to help them deliver the detail required to meet current CE marking directives.
Their specialist expertise includes:
- Wind turbine analysis and collation of applicable standards
- CE compliance assessment of turbines, their componentes and the assembly process
- support for risk assessment
- Documentation evaluation for CE compliance
- Site evaluation for CE compliance
- Deep knowledge in EC directives (machinery, low voltage, EMC and others)
- Evaluation and measurement of electromagnetic compatibility
- Flexible training courses and seminars
