Project Certification
Overview
The purpose of Project Certification is the evaluation of a type certified wind turbine that the site specific design is in conformity with the certification guidelines that have to be applied. In this connection the site specific external conditions (such as wind and wave distribution, soil investigations and soil parameters, sea-ice, corrosion, marine growth, electrical grid conditions, wind farm configuration) have to be considered.
Furthermore it has to be assured by independent surveillance of manufacturing, transportation, installation and commissioning that wind turbines and support structures conform with the certified specifications and that no serious lacks or damages exist. Periodic Monitoring serves as independent check of the wind turbines and support structures conditions during operation and it is necessary for the maintenance of the Project Certificate.
